The Power Percussion Massager is the same size as a regular massager but has double the number of massage heads, with four massage heads, to provide better and quicker body coverage. Percussion Massage Explained
Each massage head 'taps' up to 66 times per second, sending penetrating waves deep into the muscle and tissue. You can configure the Power Percussion Massager with 1, 2 or 4 massage heads, and each head can have one of three types of attachment.
The penetrating waves spread through the muscle and tissue, increasing the blood flow, to feed and relax tired and tense muscles.
When muscles are exercised, or when they are held still for long periods (typical for someone with a desk job), lactic acid accumulates, making them stiff and achy. The percussive waves stimulate the lymph system, as well as increasing blood flow, which both aid removal of lactic acid from tired muscles, speeding their recovery.
Percussive massage is also believed to help break down cellulite and stimulates the lymph system to remove the waste products. This is particularly effective with the 'slim pin' attachments which focus the massage pressure to improve effectiveness.
As your muscles relax and the blood flow increases, it stimulates your body to produce endorphins - the bodies natural pain suppressors - giving you relief from muscle aches
